Mr. Branch
The 2026 POPS Concert is coming up on Friday November 13th at 7pm. Last year this show sold out and will likely sell out again. 50% of the seats have already been sold. Families and patrons are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets early. A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door for purchase, but once those are sold, the doors will be closed.
For the safety of our performers and community, we will not set up extra chairs or allow people to stand in the back. There is a QR code on the River View Homepage which can be used to purchase tickets, or you may call the main office at 740-824-3522.

We are pleased to announce that we have a pep bus for students going to the Regional Semi-final tournament game this week for Girl’s Varsity Volleyball at Logan High School. I have been told that Wheelersburg is bringing a big student section and we want to match the energy and even more for our girls!!!
The Volleyball team won their fourth straight district championship this past Wednesday evening and will play in the Regional Semi-Finals this week. It will not cost your son/daughter anything to ride the pep bus. Your son/daughter will need $5.00 to purchase a ticket at the door of the tournament site and if they want anything to eat or drink at the game. Students just need to bring the permission form to the bus. The bus is pulling out of RVHS at 5:30pm.
Mr. Branch is providing pizza for students who ride the bus on Wednesday night.
Any questions contact Mr. Branch at Joshua.branch@rvbears.org

Thank you to our students and staff for helping kick off our weekly LIT time. This is 15 minutes, twice a week that students and staff are spending time reading books, magazines, or other published materials. Thank you to the RVLSD for helping purchase many books for our students to read. Students can also bring their own book to read during this time.
It is our hope that our students learn to enjoy reading more and it helps them improve their vocabulary, and their reading and writing skills.
Good evening,
Reminder that tomorrow is our senior meeting starting promptly at 7:30am in the auditorium and senior pictures will be taken at the conclusion of this meeting.
Only full time RVHS Seniors, part time Career Center seniors, and all CCP seniors are expected to be at the senior meeting. All these students will need to stay and get picture taken after the meeting.
Full time Career Center seniors don't need to attend this meeting or get their picture taken. They will have pictures taken at the Career Center on a different day.
Good afternoon River View High School students and parents. This is Mr. Branch, with a couple of announcements
Attention Parents: We have 65 parents that still need to complete FinalForms. If you could please make sure that you have looked at your child's FinalForms records and if they are not completed we ask that you take care of that ASAP. Thank you for helping us out.
Tomorrow is our 1st day in the block day and it will be even periods. Students will only have periods 2, 4, 6, 8 tomorrow and on Thursday will be our odd periods and students will only have periods 1, 3, 5, 7. Students will start with their 2nd period class at 7:30am on Wednesday. Remember there is no senior incentive on Wednesdays when we are on our block schedule.
We have a new initiative this year called LIT time that will take place on our modified block days. We are taking a break and unplugging from technology for 15 minutes twice a week and everyone in our building including the adults will be reading. We as a district purchased many different types of books this summer for students to check out. Students can choose from that list, get a book from the library, or they can bring something from home to read. It does not have to be a book from school, it can be a magazine, newspaper, etc. We just want our students to read.
Teen leadership corps is collecting formal wear, so all of our students have an opportunity to attend Homecoming and Prom. If you have any homecoming or prom dresses or dress shirts and ties sitting in your closets that you have been wondering what to do with, you can drop them off to the high school office or there will be drop boxes this week at the girls soccer game and volleyball game on Thursday and the football game on Friday. If you have any questions you can email rvteenleadership@rvbears.org or call the main office at 740-824-3522.
That is all for your announcements, have a great evening and Go Black Bears!
